Almotamar.net - n. President Ali Abdullah Saleh of Yemen reiterated confirmation of Yemen's stand supporting right of the Palestinian people to establishment of heir independent state on their national soil with Al-Qudss its capital, indicating the Mecca agreement reached between the two movements of Fatah and Hamas.
During his reception in Sana'a on Sunday of head of the political office of Hamas movement Khalid Mishal and his accompanying delegation the president stressed the importance of enhancing the Palestinian rank unity in the way guaranteeing for the different political and social forces of the Palestinian people the ability to confront challenges and end their suffering as a result of occupation and to achieve their legitimate rights to establishing their independent state.
Mr. Mishal acquainted president Saleh with developments of the Palestinian issue and the efforts exerted for formation of a national unity government in implementation of Mecca agreement signed between Fatah and Hamas.
Discussion also touched on many developments of the Palestinian cause and suffering of the Palestinian people as a result of blockade imposed on them under the occupation.
Mishal on his part praised president Saleh's efforts and stands supportive of the Palestinian people struggle for getting their legitimate rights pointing out his role in reaching the Mecca agreement and his keenness on preserving Palestinian blood and enhancement of the national unity. He also expressed his hope that the upcoming Arab summit will come out with resolutions ending the blockade imposed on the Palestinian people and support their steadfastness in facing Israeli occupation
