After the dialogue session hel1d Saturday at Al-Mithaq Institute with participation of secretaries general of and assistant secretaries general of the political parties Bajammal added there are issues needed in the future and require certain understandings because of a simple essential reason that is the agenda of most of those issues will be referred tom parliament and consequently if there is no accord before they are sent to parliament we cannot achieve voting practically for legislative and constitutional issues whether on this issue or that.

He said the most important issues under dialogue are amendments pertaining to the law of the local authority and the laws of parties and pres and publications. He indicated the resultant of these issues would be by a parliamentary decision or popular decision requires referendum as stipulated in the constitution.

The dialogue session held today under chairmanship of the GPC�s secretary-general Abdulqader Bajammal approved the remarks submitted by leaderships of the parties on agenda of the dialogue and approved that there will be two dialogue meetings on Saturday and Wednesday of each week.

The meeting witnessed accord on most of the submitted issues, mainly controls of dialogue. What has been agreed on regarding recommendations of the European Union mentioned in its report on the presidential elections held in 2006, the basic controls and principles of dialogue, media controls and formation of the secretariat. The participants emphasized that dialogue represents a significant value for defining the mechanisms needed and that come as part of reforms the country is witnessing in multi fields.

Among the issues subject to dialogue are the laws regarding freedoms and rights, trade unions, civil society organisations, and the economic policies under which are listed the prices, wages, transparency in the budge, impartiality of public service. It was agreed to set other sessions for dialogue pertaining to settling sequels of conflicts after a proposal by Abdulqader Bajammal who was supported by Al-Yadoumi.

The dialogue troika, composed of assistant secretary-general of the GPC for the sector of intellect and information Sultan al-Barakani, the secretary-general of the Yemen socialist Party Dr Yassin Saeed Nouman and Dr Abdulwahab Mahmoud the secretary-general of the Arab Baath Socialist Party had drafted a draft agenda of the dialogue and its controls in its meeting held last week.
