A press release by the network clarified the age of marriage and reproduction that studies revealed the spread of early marriage in many parts of Yemen ands that is related to environment of the society in governorates where there is apparent tribal existence with regard to habits and tradition. It said it is also connected to the phenomenon poverty and well-to-do families rush to marry their male children at an early ague. The net also said there is strong relationship between early marriage and health damage resulting from it especially mortality of mothers and infants and other forms of defects and diseases.

The net�s release said the reasons behind spreads of this phenomenon lie in the lack of awareness among individuals especially I some areas those influenced by the prevalent culture and its traditions and personal understanding of Islam opinion regarding early marriage. The network called on all media instruments, scientists and leaders of opinion in the society to support its campaign for the success of campaigns of social change especially in the governorates of Hudeida and Hadramout.
