almotamar.net - The Yemen defence Minister Mohammed Nasser Ahmed discussed Tuesday in a meeting with the Commander of the US Joint Forces in the Horn of Africa Rear Admiral James Hart relations of bilateral cooperation between the two friendly countries’ armies and means of enhancing and developing them in defence, security, technical training and exchange of expertise areas.

Yemeni News agency reported the two men reviewed joint efforts in fighting terror, smuggling and sea piracy as well as the work for enhancement of security and stability in the Horn of Africa region and the Red Sea and safety of international navigation routes in addition to consolidate the two countries efforts in stabilization of international security and safety.

On the other hand chairman of the Yemen Shoura Council Abdulaziz Abdulghani met Tuesday with a delegation from the British House of Commons and the Westminster Society for Democracy currently visiting Yemen and headed by member of the House of Commons Richard Spring.

The two parties discussed reparations of cooperation between the Shoura Council and the House of Commons and the role of the two councils in developing the two countries bilateral relations.

The meeting also stressed the importance of the role of Westminster Society for Democracy in activation of cooperation of the two councils in areas of exchanging expertise, training and holding joint symposiums for enhancement of democracy.
