Jamil Jaadabi Almotamar.net - Secretary-General of the General People's Congress (GPC) Abdulqader Bajammal has Tuesday inaugurated in the governorate of Thamar the first stage of activating the GPC branches by attending a meeting by members of the local permanent committee of Thamar governorate.
The SG affirmed in his address to the meeting the necessity of practicing the pioneering role of the GPC and realization of commitments announced by the party whether in its 7th general conference or that included in the presidential and local elections platform and to continue the process of reforms at various aspects.
The SG also touched on the political movement the Yemen area is witnessing and the GPC dialogue with the parties represented in the parliament. In this regard the SG said the GPC sees the dialogue as a stage of starting off for the future rather than retuning backward as some wants.
Bajammal talked about the GPC vision of dialogue regarding constitutional amendments to introduce bicameral parliamentary system in addition to developing the law of the local authority, the law of political parties and organizations, the election law and the press and publications law.
