almotamar.net - Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Andulrahman bi Ahamad al-Attiyah said Friday the conference on exploration of investment opportunities in Yemen would be meant for two main issues. The more important of which is the offer of 100 investment opportunities agreed on in consultation with international and Arab establishments concerned with investment, and discussing what is related to the investment environment especially after the Yemeni government has embarked on adoption of many laws contributing to encouragement of investment in addition to the agenda of national reforms Yemen has adopted with the aim of enhancement and encouragement of investment areas.
Al-Attiyah who arrived in Sana'a Friday to take part in the conference said the conference has many goals, among them related to the agricultural, industrial and tourist aspects.
On his part the Yemen deputy premier fore economic affairs, the minister of planning and international cooperation Abdulkarim Ismael al-Arhabi described the holding the conference of investment as an economic demonstration and a prominent event in the region.
He considered the conference coming out with aspired for results would be a fruitful outcome of the Yemen-Gulf partnership system that has been crowned with success of the results of London donor conference held in the mid last November. He affirmed the Yemeni government and leadership keenness on the serious orientations related to completion of the legislative and infrastructure construction necessary for creating investment structure in Yemen.
