Almotamar.net - The secretary general of the General People's Congress (GPC) Abdulqader Bajammal said Wednesday that meetings of the GPC's permanent committee affirmed that the events ongoing in Saada do not in any event sectarian conflict however some circles have tried to depict them or suggest that.
Bajammal added that statements unleashed in the name of the Joint Meeting Parties (JMP) through its dubious queries imply this abnormal explanation of some parties in the JMP.
In a statement to almotamar.net the GPC's secretary general indicated that the dubious explanations are incorrectly quoted of his talk in the meeting of the permanent committee of the capital, clarifying that they have depended on what was reported by some persons present at the meeting hall and who may have sneaked among the GPC and fabricating sayings.
He added the permanent committees are all leading a straight clear course because the events taking place in Saada are terrorist acts violating the law and order and a rebellion against the will of the state representing the national unity, social peace and the national constants.
With regard to the subject of dialogue between the GPC and the political parties represented in the parliament Mr Bajammal said the dialogue will be resumed next week. He added that in the first meeting of the resumed dialogue the parties will sign an agreement on topics of the dialogue, its procedures and means adopted by the tripartite joint committee representing parties in the dialogue.
In his statement to almotamar.net Bajammal described the political dialogue between the GPOC and the parties represented in the parliament as a beginning for a wider movement in a dialogue including the rest of parties and civil society organisations as well as intellectual, cultural and social organisations.
He stressed the necessity that the various parties taking part in the dialogue to establish a framework of dialogue in order to achieve a large popular participation because the subjects on table of dialogue concern not only the parties represented in the parliament but at the same time all other activities and affect all political, social and cultural activities.
