In his meeting in Sana'a today with the delegation of the EU Commission led by the External Relations Commissioner Benita Ferrero-Waldner, Dr Mujawar and Ferrero-Waldner discussed relations of Yemeni-European cooperation in the light of the EU decision of granting Yemen 60 million euro for the four next years, praising the decision and its positive impact on enhancement of relations of cooperation between Yemen and the EU.

EU External Relations Commissioner Benita Ferrero-Waldner emphasized the commission keenness on expanding volume of its relations with Yemen in the upcoming period. She pointed out that decision of the EU allocation of the said sum affirms continuous growth in the European-Yemeni relations and expressed her wishes for more de development achievements for progress of the Yemeni people in all fields.

Meanwhile Yemen and the EU signed the program prepared by the EU fore Yemen for the period 2007-2010 amounting 60 million euro.

In a joint press conference held after signing the program, deputy premier for economic affairs, the minister of planning and international cooperation Abdulkarim al-Arhabi made it clear that what is included in the program comes within the framework of keenness of the EU on enhancing and developing cooperation with Yemen, explaining the Yemeni government keenness on activating partnership with the European Union.
