Almotamar Net - South-east capital secretariat court ruled Tuesday by imposing an YR130 thousand on Al-Dastour newspaper and to apologize to writer Samia al-Aghbari at the backdrop of what was described as libel against al-Aghbari by the newspaper. Head of the court sitting Judge Mohammed Rabeed said the verdict stipulates a fine of YR 130 thousand against the newspaper and its editor in chief Mohammed al-Ashmaly to be paid to al-Aghbari as lawyer fees and YR70 thousand for the public right. The verdict also dictates on the newspaper to publish text of the verdict and apology to al-Aghbari.

The verdict came at the backdrop of Al-Dastour publishing case on 10 May 2006 in its issue no. 54.
