Almotamar Net - President Ali Abdullah Saleh and the Emir of Qatar Hamad Bin Khalufa Al Thani confirmed Wednesday their keenness on strengthening the brothers relations and areas of bilateral cooperation between the two countries at various political, economic, cultural; and security levels in service of joint interests of the Yemeni and Qatari peoples almotamar.net - President Ali Abdullah Saleh and the Emir of Qatar Hamad Bin Khalufa Al Thani confirmed Wednesday their keenness on strengthening the brother's relations and areas of bilateral cooperation between the two countries at various political, economic, cultural; and security levels in service of joint interests of the Yemeni and Qatari peoples.

At the Yemeni-Qatari talks meeting co-chaired in Sana'a Wednesday by president Ali Abdullah Saleh and the Qatari leader Emir Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani the two leaders held consultations and exchanged viewpoints regarding the regional, Arab and international developments particularly in Palestine, Iraq, Somalia, and Sudan in addition to the Arab initiative for peace and the means for the Arab movement towards the international community to oblige Israel to accept and implement it in the way leading to establishment of the Palestinian independent state on the Palestinian national soil and to end conflict in the Middle East region and establishment of peace in it.

The Emir of the state of Qatar had has said on his arrival in Sana'a Wednesday he that he would like to express his very happiness to meet his brother president Ali Abdullah Saleh and that his visit comes as part of the ever keenness on maintaining consultation and exchange of opinions on developments of situations on the Arab and international arenas and issues of common interest as well as discussion of means guaranteeing enhancement of strong relations and constructive cooperation between the two countries in various fields especially at these delicate circumstances when " we are all in great need for joining efforts and uniting our ranks." The Emir added he was pleased to convey greetings of the Qatari people to president Saleh and the Yemeni people and the wishes for more progress and prosperity.

The two leaders' talks were attended for the Yemeni side by vice-president Abdrebeh Mansour Hadi, prime minister Dr Ali Mohammed Mujawar, Abdulqader Bajammal , the secretary general of the General People's Congress, the foreign minister Dr Abu Bakr al-Qirbi, the head of the presidency office Ali Mohammed al-A'asi, the information minister Hassan Ahmed al-Lawzi, minister of finance Nouman al-Sahibi, minister of culture Mohammed Abu Bakr al-Maflahi, and the Yemeni ambassador to Qatar Abdulmalik Saeed and culture undersecretary Najiba Haddad.

The talks were attended for the Qatari side by Sheikh Hamad Bin Jassim Bin Jabr Al Thani, the prime minister, the Emiri master of ceremonies Sheikh Mohammed Bin Fahd Al- Thani, Finance minister Yusuf Hassan Kamal, Chief of the Emiri Diwan Sheikh Mohammed Bin Fahd Al- Thani, Sheikh Saad Bin Mohammed al-Ramihi the emir secretary for follow-up affairs, Sheikha al-Mayasa bint Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani chairperson of Qatar museums board of trustees, the vice chairman of Qatar museums board of trustees sheikh Hussein bin Mohammed bin Ali al-Thani, Jassim Bin Abdulaziz Albuainain the ambassador of Qatar to Yemen and Nasser Hamad al-Ansari, the executive chairman of al-Diyar company in Qatar.
