Almotamar.net - Assistant Secretary-General of the General People's Congress (PC) left Thursday morning for Saudi Arabia on board a special plane to complete medical examinations he began in the wake of a traffic accident happened yesterday.

Deputy Head of the Information Office of the GPC Abdulqawi Al-Shamiri told almotamar.net Thursday a special plane carried Sheikh Sultan al-Barakani from Aden International Airport to Saudi Arabia to have further medical procedures and to submit to more medical checking for more assurance about his health pursuant to directives by the president of the republic.

Sheikh al-Barakani exposed a traffic accident while on his way from Aden to Dhalie to attend a meeting of the GPC local permanent committee there. The accident resulted in the death of former governor of Al-Dhalie Saleh Al-Junaid and the Sheikh suffered bruises described by medical sources in Yemen as simple. The car accident also caused the injury of six persons who were in the car carrying al-Barakani and al-Junaid.
