Almotamar.net - Yemen's minister of electricity and energy Dr Mustafa Bahran announced Thursday that during the few next years 5000mgw of electric power will be generated by using the wind and generating of electricity by nuclear power with the aim of reducing the cost price of generation and to reduce the environmental damage caused by the use of diesel for power generation.

In a ceremony held Thursday in the governorate of Ibb for honouring 50 employees at the electricity establishment from different governorates of the republic the minister announced that an agreement with an American company will be concluded in the coming months to build a nuclear power station in the Red Sea for generating electricity.
