Almotamar.net - Yemen announced Friday its high appreciation of the role that Russia plays in the Mideast. Yemen's ambassador to Moscow Abdulwahab Mohammed Ali Al-Rouhani said "We highly evaluate the role that Russia plays in solving the Middle East issues and of course we hope this role to grow."

Al-Rouhani was speaking at a press conference held today at Novosti on the Yemeni 17th National Day, adding this role if enhanced we will get closer to achieve the main goal in the region which is the establishment of the independent Palestinian state. The Yemeni ambassador indicated that his country is proud of its strong relations with Russia.

He said the Yemeni relations with Russia have always special characteristic including different areas of cooperation, especially that the presidents of the two countries have close friendly relations that help enhance and expand the ties between the two countries.
