In a telephone conversation with almotamar.net Friday evening Al-Barakani said doctors decided to subject him to medical operation after all medical examinations were completed since his arrival yesterday in Saudi Arabia.

Al-Barakani talked on improvement in his health condition assuring all his friends that he is in a good health condition and quoting the doctors supervising his treatment as confirming stability of his health condition and the simple operation he is to undergo. He told almotamar.net to assure all that he is fine, expressing his appreciation and gratitude for all those who have asked about his health.

On the other hand the chairman of the social society of the Yemeni community in Jeddah had Friday evening visited Sheikh Al-Barakani with a delegation of the community at the hospital, accompanied by sheikh

Saad al-Jaradi told almotamar.net in a telephone call Friday they have talked to Skeikh Al-Barakani during a half an hour visit at the hospital and became assured about his health. He said leaders of the Yemeni community will repeat visiting al-Barakani tomorrow.

Assistant secretary general of the GPC left for Saudi Arabia yesterday on a special plane to complete medical checking after a car accident happened the day before yesterday. Deputy Head of the GPC information office Abdulqawi al-Shamiri said a special; plane carried Al-Barakani to Saudi Arabia to continue medical examinations under directives by the president of the republic.

Al-Barakani had been exposed to a traffic accident on Wednesday while he was on his way to attend a meeting of the local permanent committee of the GPC in the governorate of Dhalie, Yemen. The accident resulted in the death of the former governor of Al-Dhalie Saleh al-Junaid who was with Al-Barakani in the same car but Al-Barakani and six others with him from bruises and injuries.
