Almotamar.net - President Ali Abdullah Saleh and with him senior officials of the state, leaders of political parties and organisations, social figures, commanders of armed forces and security, members of Arab and foreign diplomatic missions attend the youth festival and the grand carnival parade to be held in the city of Ibb on Tuesday on the occasion of celebrations of the 17th National Day of the Yemeni republic.

President Saleh will deliver on Monday evening an important national speech addressing the Yemeni people on this great national occasion. It is expected that the president's speech to discuss a host of national issues mainly subjects related to economic, financial and administrative reforms and practical steps to translate the president's election platform on the ground in the manner achieving the national expectations and aspirations for a new Yemen and better future.

In addition, the speech is to deal with a number of Arab and international issues and Yemen's efforts for enhancement of Arab solidarity and establishment of peace in the region. The president will on this occasion open and lay foundation stones for a number of services and developmental projects in the governorate of Ibb.
