Almotamar.net - President Ali Abdullah Saleh gave his directives to the government for creating effective mechanisms to monitor prices and fighting monopoly in order to secure living stability for the citizens. He has also called on the legislative and judiciary power and the m9onitoring apparatus to perform their role in holding accountable anyone manipulating the public property.

In a political statement addressed to the people of Yemen the president urged the government to provide investment-attracting environment and activate the measures via the single window system in the State Authority for Investment, as proceeding from outcomes of the investment opportunities conference that has been held in Sana'a last April. The president said, "This investment file will receive all attention and care from us and from the government."

President Saleh reiterated the call to the stray elements in the governorate of Saudi to surrender themselves and their heavy and medium weapons to the state in abidance by the decision taken by the National Defence Council and statement of the religious scholars of Yemen saying " We shall guarantee for them just trial for the war crimes they have perpetrated against the citizens and armed forces and security troops and infliction of damage on development in the governorate of Saudi and in the homeland in general."

The president hailed dear sacrifices of the armed forces for defending the homeland and protection of its sovereignty, security and stability and safeguarding its gains and accomplishments and said" We acknowledge to you and to all honourable sons of the homeland your heroic confrontation of those terrorist elements that started the sedition in some areas of Saada governorate and they want to topple the republican regime and return with the homeland to the eras of the Backward sacerdotal Imamate despotism and tyranny."

The president promised to continue offering care to families of martyrs, the wounded and was disabled from troops of the armed forces, security and honourable volunteers for the great sacrifices they have given and sacred national duty."

President Saleh said "We shall continue the course for building and modernizing the armed forces and security in order to strengthen the defensive and security capability. The members of the great national establishment will receive all care and attention for upgrading the level of their living standard and to qualifying them scientifically that keeps in pace with the variables."

The president addressed sons of the armed forces and security by saying," Our brothers in the armed forces and security we are confident in you and as you have defended the revolution, the republic and the unity you, and with you all honorable sons of homeland, will by God will triumph in extinguishing the sedition and destroy those who ignited it and in stabilizing security and public stability and safety in the governorate of Saada in particular and the homeland in general."

President of the republic also urged the scholars, sheikhs, social figures, youth and all the citizens in Saada governorate to carry out their duty beside the armed forces and security in defying those terrorist and saboteur elements that offended the struggling history of the sons of Saada governorate.

The president also called on the political parties and organisations working in the national arena to conduct a responsible dialogue on all that concern the homeland and its future, "This dialogue will receive the care and follow-up by us for coming out with results achieving the higher national interest." He asked all the sons of Yemen for more unity and national alignment to enhance the national unity and fighting all forms of division and fanaticism as well as instigation of rancour and hatred among the sons of the homeland.

The president also called on the media, culture and education institutions to do their n national duty for consolidation of the positives and abandoning the negatives in addition to mustering efforts in the battle of the national construction and for building a new generation armed with science and knowledge and free from all dregs of the Imamate, colonialist and divisional past in Yemen

The president urged the government and the legislative power to speed up finalizing the law of developing the local authority in the manner guaranteeing limitation of centralization, election of governors and heads of administrative units and working on completing the procedures of setting up the National Body on Fighting Corruption and finishing the law of tenders and bidding.
The president called the international community, the United States of America and the UN Security Council permanent members states to practice pressure on Israel to accept the Arab initiative for peace approved in Beirut summit and confirmed in Riyadh summit. He said the initiative represents the minimum limit for the realization of just and lasting peace in the region and we confirm that accepting it and establishment of the Palestinian state will contribute to extinguish many of fires raging in the region."

President Saleh reiterated Yemen's call for holding a reconciliation conference among the Iraqi parties for the establishment of security and peace in Iraq and ending the occupation in addition to building democratic, free and independent Iraq. The president also called for standing by the Somali people and supporting efforts of the Somali transitional government for the achievement of national reconciliation and peace in Somalia, also for reconstruction of the state establishments, evaluating the efforts the Sudan is exerting for solving the problem of Darfur and confirmed Yemen's standing by Sudan in the way securing its sovereignty, unity and stability.
