A press release of Annas, almortamar.net got a copy of it, implicitly accused the ministries of communications and information to be behind the cut of its news service.

While almotamar.net could not get in touch with the specialised official at the ministry of information to learn about their stance, a deputy director general at the ministry of communications Kamal Omar denied any hand of the ministry in that matter. In a telephone contact with almotamar.net he said "we have no relationship to that matter and have not asked the communications company to cut the news service."

On his part the director of public relations at the MTN Yemen Company Tawfiq al-Nadhif said he was not sure that the service was actually halted as he was on a holiday, but he talked about a request from m the ministry of information in this regard. He added to almotamar.net that Annas establishment has no license to transmit the news service, according to the ministry of information, and that they have been given time until the mid of this month.

Annas press establishment said the request of the ministries of information and communications does not acquit the MTN Yemen from the responsibility of taking such a measure without depending on judicial ruling or legal text authorizing it stopping the service Annas newspaper launched, and that the paper is licensed by the ministry of information.

The newspaper confirmed it is committed to all criteria of the profession according to the constitution and public interest, announcing that it preserves its right to sue those who caused that problem.
