Almotamar.net - The Italian ambassador to Sana'a said Monday that Italian deputy defence minister and head of coast guard authority are to arrive in Sana'a today evening to take part in opening the first Yemeni center to observe coasts at a total cost of 20 million euro in an Italian loan.

Responding to a question by almotamar.net on the Italian loan for building the observation center the Italian ambassador said his government will change the amount of the coast to a gift to the Yemeni government but said he could not define the time period for that in accordance with measures to be taken later in this regard. He added that his country has not a complete idea about the nature of Yemeni coasts and the situation Yemen is suffering from and therefore his country would help Yemen in this field. He clarified that the observation center to be opened will be for a certain part of Yemeni coasts because they are very long and the second stage will be later.

The ambassador praised ability of Yemeni coast guard in preserving sea security, saying although the Yemeni coast guard authority has been a short time a go it has begun with every new thing and they will support it.
