Reliable sources mentioned Thursday that Yemen demanded from Egypt to handover the persons who killed a Yemeni soldier while Egyptian boats were fishing in Yemen's regional waters illegally offshore Midi area.
26 September newspaper quoted the sources as saying the Yemeni government took measures for stopping Egyptian fishing boats from fishing in their Yemeni waters until the killers are handed over to Yemeni authorities to be tied for their criminal act they committed.
The Egyptian foreign ministry announced last Monday that an Egyptian launch attacked a Yemeni boat on an inspection patrol in the Red Sea on 19 last April causing the death of one Yemeni soldier and wounding another.
The incident took place while Yemeni coast guard troops were trying to seize two Egyptian fishing boats that were in the Yemeni regional waters illegally. The coast guard troops managed to capture one of the Egyptian boats 12 nautical miles off Yemeni shores without license for fishing there while the other boat could escape.
