Almotamar.net - Twenty -eight of the Yemen socialist Party (YSP), an opposition party in Yemen, leaders in the governorate of Huddeidah announced Sunday the establishment of a Movement for Democracy, change and Construction as a movement dissident of the YSP in the governorate and the central leadership.

The dissidents said their announcement of establishing their movement came as a result of a crisis inside the party organisation in Huddeidah that aggravated due to insistence of the party's secretary general Dr Saeed Yassin and some members of the general secretariat and the politburo on appointing Dr Teeba Barakat as the party's acting first secretary though she is outside the leadership of the organisation.

YSP's dissident leaders, according to their statement, represent eleven party organisations in districts of al-Qatie, al-Zaidiaya, Hays, al-Jarahi, al-Mighlaf, al-Qanawus, al-Zahra, al-Lahiya, al-Haly, al-Haouk and Beit al-Faqieh.

The committee has named Shukrallah al-Shabily, deputy first secretary of the party's organisation in Huddeidah, member of the central committee, as chairman of the preparatory committee.
