Almotamar.net - President Ali Abdullah Saleh made Wednesday telephone calls with the Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas, prime Minister Isamel Haniyeh and Khalid Mishaal, chairman of the politburo if the Hamas in which he expressed Yemen's great concern over the regrettable developments in the Palestinian arena as a result of the ongoing fighting between Hamas and Fatah movements and the victims and bloodshed resulting from it,
In his telephone call the president affirmed the necessity that the Palestinian leaderships from both Hamas and Fatah should undertake their national and historical responsibility in these difficult circumstances in the history of the Palestinian people for stopping this Palestinian bloodshed.
President Saleh said it does not honour any Palestinian official in both movements to stay in power under the ongoing fratricide and the shedding of the Palestinian blood, adding
He added the power should be looked as loss rather than gain and the Palestinian leaders whether in power or outside it have to shoulder their responsibility to put an end to fighting and to preclude shedding the Palestinian blood or directing the Palestinian gun to the chest of any Palestinian.
Each of Mahmoud Abbas, Ismael Haniyeh and Khalid Mishaal expressed their appreciation to president Saleh for his sincere feelings and stands and his keenness on the interest of the Palestinian people.
