Almotamar.net - Deputy Premier, the minister of interior Dr Rashad Al-Alimi said Wednesday the Yemeni security is holding tens of Eritrean fishermen and others from other nationalities who have entered the Yemeni regional waters.

In his reply to MP Mohammed al-Hazmi the minister indicated that Yemeni fishermen cross to Eritrean territorial waters and they are exposed with their boats to detention by the authorities there.
He added that a joint committee from both sides is tackling situations of Yemeni fishermen arrested with their boats in Eritrea. The minister said his ministry corresponded with the ministry of fish wealth and local authority in the governorates in order to advise Yemeni fishermen not to enter the Eritrean territorial waters.
