Almotamar.net - Secretaries-General of the political p [arties represented in the Yemeni parliament signed Saturday on a document defining issues controls and guarantees of dialogue among them, the signature event took place in atmospheres prevalent with positivistic understanding and national sense of responsibility.
Secretary-General of the General People's Congress (GPC) Abdulqader Bajammal considered in his address before the signature that the controls of dialogue was complementary to conditions of success in the first stage and a big accomplishment process in a significant historic circumstance.
Bajammal reiterated confirmation of his party that dialogue is considered one of the important necessities called by President Ali Abdullah Saleh in his speech on the 17th National Day in the governorate of Ibb on 22 May.
He indicated that the document included visions of all the political parties regarding the political and social process, hoping that he dialogue will not be confined to the parties represented in the parliament but rather to be extended in the future.
With regard to issues of the dialogue that have been signed the parities agreed to begin the dialogue in the first stage in what had been agreed on in the document of principles between the GPC and the parties of the JMP which they signed on 18 June 2006 and recommendations of the European Union regarding observation of the presidential and local elections.
Issues of dialogue also included constitutional reforms, development of the local authority system, the laws elated to rights and freedoms, discussion of issues of economic policies and their instruments as well as the dialogue on necessary treatments of impact of political conflicts and social issues that impede the march of development and growth.
Concerning submission by the Yemeni Socialist party and parties in the JMP regarding sequels of 1994 war the document of controls and issues of the dialogue stipulated" it will be discussed at another level according to the suggestion by the GPC secretary general fixed in minutes (2) on 24 March 2007 as it is considered an issue of rights provided to be agreed on suitable mechanism for implementing that."
The political parties on the other hand expressed their regret for the bloody events ongoing in Palestine, calling for the national unity and more understanding on issues of the Palestinian people.
Secretaries general of the political parties in Yemen appealed to officials of the Palestinian authority to unite their word, and join their forces and to be worthy of the confidence of their nation.
The document of controls and issues of dialogue was signed by:

3-Dr Yassin Saeed Nouman, secretary general of Yemeni Socialist Party,
4-Sultan al-Atwani, secretary general of the Nasserite Unionist Organisation,
5-Dr Abdulwahab Mahmoud secretary general of the Arab Baath Party
A press release issued Saturday by the political parties and organisations participating in the dialogue, a copy of which received by almotamar.net said the atmospheres of dialogue reflected the spirit of cooperation and responsible national keenness. It mentioned that the sixth dialogue session has come out with signing on the document of issues and controls and guarantees of dialogue by all participating parties.
