Almotamar.net - The ministry of higher education and Yemeni universities agreed Monday to grant em0ployees of government universities a 20% increment in salaries provided that the decision is presented to the prime minister for approval.

The agreement came in a meeting grouped the minister of higher education Saleh Basura and presidents of the government universities of Sana'a, Taiz, Thamar, Huddeidah, Hadramout, Ibb and Aden as well as head of coordination council with Yemeni universities.

According to minutes of the agreement, a copy of which received by almotamar.net, head of the coordination council committed himself to prepare and present all remarks related to draft of administrative and technical jobs in the Yemeni universities.
Coordination council for universities employees suspended Monday the strike of the staff that started last Saturday and that is in line with the agreement reached between the minister of higher education and the coordination council.
