Almotamar.net - Yemen's government expressed Tuesday its hope that the first consultative meeting of donors gathering scheduled in Sana'a Wednesday to help speed up steps and measures necessary for finalizing financial allocations offered to help Yemen in London donors conference in the light of which agreements for using those funds will be prepared.

Planning and international cooperation undersecretary Hisham Sharaf told almotamar.net the importance of speeding up allocation of the sums comes under urgent circumstances as the third five-year plan has passed one year and a half and the remaining time is three years and a half and it must be devoted to contain those sums;

He added " We cannot now do anything but with cooperation of the donor states and organisations with us in an exceptional manner in order to be able to use these funds during the remaining years of the third five-year plan for development and fighting poverty."

He indicated that the level of progress in allocation of promises was good and the consultative meeting tomorrow which is to be chaired by the Prime Minister Dr Ali Mujwar aims at speeding up completion of necessary measures for allotment of the rest of funds pledged to be offered at London conference.

The Yemeni government has agreed with donors at London conference held last November that a consultative meeting to be held for following up the financial pledges after six months with the purpose of considering the progress achieved with regard to pledged given by the donors.
