The source made it clear to almotmar.net that preliminary information indicates that the ship Alexander Sea could not be monitored by radar at 8:30 am of today. He added that the 19-member crew of the ship could be rescued by coalition forces in the international waters that received distress calls at the time waters entered the ship as a result of the stormy weather and bad weather conditions.

The source said the ship's crew boarded lifeboats provided by the international forces there while the ship sank with its load the urea of the kind used as a type of fertilizer and that can result in damage to marine life there.

He added the ship sank at a depth of three thousand metres in area to the north of Socotra Island and concerned authorities are waiting for the crew to learn abut causes of the sinking.
