Almotamar.net - President Ali Abdullah Saleh emphasised on Thursday dialogue represents the ideal civilized means that must be adhered to by all in the national arena for reaching common denominations on the basis of commitment to national constants, at the forefront of which are the constitution, principles of the revolution, the republican system, the national unity and democracy.

President Saleh's remarks were mentioned in his ting Thursday afternoon with leaderships of political parties and organisations represented in the parliament. These parties are the General People's Congress (GPC), the ruling party in Yemen, the Yemeni Congregation for Reform (Islkah), the Yemen socialist Party, the Nasserite Unionist Organisation and the Arab Baath Socialist Party.

The president pointed out whatever the differences in visions were dialogue guarantees to bring closer the viewpoints and create clear national unified visions vis-�-vis the issues and challenges concerning the homeland. He asserted that the homeland is for all and the opposition is backbencher of authority and its double.

President Saleh said dialogue has to be based on sense of responsibility and inspiring of the national requirements for the realization of more stability, development, democracy, cementing the unity and abandoning all forms of violence and fanaticism that only inflicts harm on the homeland.

The president put stress on the role that the media instruments have to undertake, especially party media that must bear the responsibility for what has been mentioned in the document of controls signed by the political parties and organisations taking part in the dialogue. That responsibility that would avoid instigation, differences and irresponsible leaks and offences which trouble the state of social peace and contradict the pluralist democracy and climates of freedom and the freedom of expression.

President Saleh added the partisan and other media language must be high, responsible and keen on the national interest and on all that will consolidate the bonds of love, fraternity and national unity in the society. He said forces of al should be joined and energies and efforts must be mustered in the battle of construction, development and making of the homeland's progress.

The meeting discussed many issues and development in the country as well s the subjects pertaining to the ongoing dialogue between the Yemeni political parties in response to the president's call for the parties to conduct a responsible national dialogue on all the issues that concerns the country and its future.

President Saleh praised the results the dialogue between the political parties has so far achieved especially their signing on the document of issues, guarantees and controls of the dialogue.

The leaderships of the parties participating in the meeting valued the president's call for dialogue and expressed their satisfaction over what has been achieved, affirming their commitment to the document they have signed. They said dialogue will remain the civilized way for removing differences and unifying visions in interest of the homeland.
