Almotamar.net - Local sources in Abyan governorate said Friday that a number of houses in the coastal city of Shaqra were exposed Thursday evening to hitting by high sea waves.

Te sources told almotamar.net the rough sea caused those waves to reach houses of some people but said they did not cause damage to houses or casualties among people.

Naval Security section at the Cost Guard Authority in Yemen had earlier warned people who frequent shores and coasts as well as fishermen against the danger of swimming and going far into the sea during the period of this month until September.

Coast Guard administration statement made it clear that during this period begins the season of strong winds and sea storms that may expose to danger the people who go into the sea and called on all peoples and fishermen to be cautious.
