Almotamar.net - The government approved Saturday paying the increments decided for the retired employees regardless whether their pension salaries were under the lower limit or above it. The payment will be carried out in two phases instead of four and to be paid with salaries of July 2007.

The decision came as part of the results reached by the ministerial committee entrusted with studying conditions of pensioners. The committee is chaired by deputy premier, the minister of interior Dr Rashad al-Alimi.

The results included a group of suggestions to be referred to the cabinet in its Tuesday meeting to be discussed and approved. The proposals aim at tackling conditions of pensioners and settling their pension salaries within the framework of the national strategy for salaries and wages and the law of jobs and wages number 43 for the year 2995.
