Almotamar.net - The minister of communications and information technology Eng. Kamal al-Jabri said Sunday his ministry is working at present to finalise procedures for the connection with the world internet via the two sea stations that are currently being prepared in Hudeidah and al-Ghadha. The procedures are done according to the designed plan that will be finished next August. The aim is to improve the ministry's services offered to Yemeni audience and to keep pace with accelerating developments in communications and information technology,
The minister added that his ministry pays great attention to this sector due to its importance and also to offer all modern technological potentials for luring investment. He said the ministry is keen to be able to offer the best services with most suitable prices and to make this technology available for the citizens.
In a press statement prior to opening the al-Jazeera 9th Exhibition for Information and Communications Technology to be opened Monday, the minister praised the role played by the private sector and civil society organisations in this regard " to enhance our optimism especially if we take into consideration that technology will be of more important tools the future generations to be armed with to complete the procession of national construction and development."
