The GCC secretary general described the blast as a desperate criminal act to impede the movement of growth and development in the Yemeni republic at all levels and in various fields.

Al-Attiyah affirmed solidarity of the GCC states with the Yemeni government and support to measures it takes to encounter those terrorist acts, renewing the GCC states stand refusing those terrorist acts in all its forms and whatever their source was. He also expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and the wounded.
