Channeelnewsasia - SINGAPORE : Foreign Affairs Minister George Yeo said he is "shocked and saddened" about the attack against tourists in the province of Marib in Yemen.

Seven Spanish tourists and two Yemenis were killed on Monday by a suspected Al Qaeda suicide bomber.

In a statement to Yemen's Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr Abubaker Al-Qirbi, Mr Yeo conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and those who were injured.

He said, "Singapore strongly condemns this wanton act of terror and stands by Yemen in the global fight against the scourge of terrorism." - CNA
