Almotamar.net - The ambassador of the Spanish kingdom to Yemen affirmed Thursday that the terrorist event of Mareb that killed seven Spanish tourists would not affect his country's distinguished relations with Yemen, expressing his thank and appreciation of the Yemeni people and leadership for the condemnation and denunciation of the terrorist attack.

Receiving representatives for a demonstration organised in Sana'a this morning by civil organisations the ambassador said the people's stand regarding the terrorist event in this way expresses the Yemeni people's stance concerning the terrorist attack.

On his part the Yemeni minister of tourism Nabil al-Faqieh reiterated Yemen's people and government condemnation of the criminal act, confirming that Yemen was among the first states to join the word campaign for fighting terror and it is presently paying the price for that cooperation.

Minister al-Faqieh was among a number of tourist and social personalities who offered condolences to the Spanish ambassador on the event that killed a number of Spanish tourists in Mareb.

Two massive demonstrations took to the streets of the capital Sana'a and marched to the Spanish embassy. The demonstrators lifted slogans and banners condemning the terrorist operation in Mareb.
