almotamar.net - A thunderbolt hit Friday midday power station 33 in the city of Thamar and caused power cut for five hours in quarters of the city in the middle of Yemen.

A source at tThamar electricity authority told almotamar.net that a technical team managed to repair the failure and operate the station to supply power again to the city.

The source said the thunderbolt hit the station's lightning rod but engineers there were able to repair it.
