Almotamar.net - Meetings of a workshop on carrying out the president's election platform and program of the General People's Congress (GPC) begin Saturday morning. The workshop is to be attended by 250 leading party and executive officials, political and social personalities and researchers in economic.

The workshop, sponsored by branch of the GPC in the capital on 7-8 July in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce, the participants are to discuss 24 working papers prepared for this purpose. The papers are classified into five main premises pertaining to enhancing decentralization, expansion powers of the local authority, development of local resources, mechanism for fighting poverty and unemployment, development and expansion of social safety net and activation of the role of the private sector in development.

According to a statement almotamar.net received a copy of it the workshop will over two days present scientific working papers on the role entrusted with the capital mayoralty for the application of the president's election platform and the programme of the GPC during the present presidential tenure.
