Almotamar.net - The Specialised Criminal Court in Yemen condemned six defendants, among them university professor, of forging university certificates for the l Private National University.

In the court sitting of today presided over by Judge Radwan Al-Nimr the sentence stipulated the court considered the jail period five defendants spent in prison as enough and sentenced the University professor Dr Ibrahim Abdulrab Al-Qubati for one year.

The verdict also included confiscation of evidence materials related to the case and destruction of stamps used in the forgery. The defendant al-Qubati presented an appeal but the prosecution retained its right to appeal.

It is to be mentioned that tee defend ants have spent almost two years in prison, which is the period stipulated in the verdict.
