Almotamar.net - The General Secretariat of the General People's Congress (GPC) approved in its Saturday meeting involvement of the woman sector and to have her represented in the dialogue sessions currently conducted between the GPC and the political parties represented in the parliament.

In the meeting chaired by the GPC's secretary General Abdulqader Bajammal the general secretariat reviewed developments of the dialogue with parties, affirming that the issues on table of the dialogue, for instance the elections and the local authority laws are of interest of all segments of the Yemeni people and called in this regard on all parties to represent the woman together with their representatives in the dialogue.

While condemning the criminal act that targeted a group of Spanish tourists and their Yemeni companions in the city of Mareb last eek, the GPC"s general secretariat extolled stands of all political parties and organisations, civil society organisations and all sons of the Yemeni people rejecting those terrorist acts, condemning the incident and announcing their standing by the state authorities as well as their cooperation with security forces to terminate such acts and punishing their perpetrators.

The general secretariat on the other hand emphasised its support for the constitutional and legal rights of the civilian, military and security retired persons. It also called on the beneficiaries of the president of the republic's two decrees issued last Wednesday to positively cooperate with the decisions and the special committee to receive them in the way guaranteeing their gaining their legal rights. It added that stance should be away from political investment or any other purposes and not to use the issue for political wrangling and narrow considerations which always lead to trouble atmospheres with aims serving only enemies of the homeland.

The general secretariat also discussed a number of reports concerning political, organisational and media areas inside the GPC's sectors and adopted a group of decisions aimed at activation of the GPC's performance.
