Almotamar.net - The General People's Congress (GPC)\s assistant secretary general for the woman sector Dr Amat al-Razzaq Hamad opened Saturday in the capital Sana'a meeting of workshop on carrying out the platform of the president of the republic and the election programme of local councils . The workshop is organised by the GPC's branch of the capital in cooperation with Sana'a University and the Chamber of Commerce. Participating in the workshop are about 250 executive leaderships, local councils members, academicians, specialists and businessmen.

At the opening of the workshop Mr Jamal al-Khawlani, head of the GPC capital branch confirmed commitment of the GPC to follow up fulfillment of promises mentioned in the presidential platform and the election programme of the local councils. He indicated that they have involved as man as possible of specialists and beneficiaries with the purpose offering opinion and comments to plans and programmes that are implemented by local authority and its institutions in the capital secretariat in the way meeting the actual nee of the capital population.

The participants in the two-day workshop got divided into five committees. Each committee is composed of a number of executive leaderships, members of local councils and a number of those concerned with the axis the committee is discussing.
