Almotamar.net - An official report, issued lately, mentioned Monday the ministry of technical education and vocational training managed to build 61 establishments for the technical education and vocational training in different governorates of Yemen, 27 of them are technical training establishments.

According to the report the ministry plans to increase the number of educational establishments as part of the Yemeni government directions for development of this type of education and raise its accommodation capacity to reach a target of 15% of outputs of basic and secondary education by the year 2012. In addition, the ministry seeks to create a balance between outputs of the technical education and university education in order to straighten the course of the educational process in Yemen.

Establishments of the technical education and vocational training include 27 technical training establishments, among them 4 society faculties, 10 technical industrial institutes, 4 agricultural technical institutes, 6 commercial institutes and three technical, sea, veterinary and tourist institutes.

It is to be recalled that the various establishments f the technical and vocational education contain 18510 students, a proportion that still limited and Yemen endeavours to increase it to 15% by the year 2012.
