Almotamar.net - The UN Security Council strongly condemned Monday the terrorist attack that resulted in the death of seven Spanish tourists in Yemen last week and stressed the importance of bringing the perpetrators of the attack, its financiers sponsors before justice, urging all countries to help Yemen for that purpose.
President of the council for this month, the Chinese delegate read out in an open session a statement saying the Council reaffirms that terror in all its forms and methods constitutes one of the most dangerous threats to international peace and security and any terrorist act is a criminal one having nothing to justify it regardless of whatever motives and whoever the perpetrators were.
The UN Security Council statement said the council re-confirms the need to fighting threats targeting international peace and security caused by terrorist acts with all means and reaffirms its determination to combat all forms of terror in compatibility with its responsibilities according to the UN charter.
The UN Council also expressed its condolences for victims of the attack that took place in the Yemeni Mareb governorate and for their families and for the two peoples and governments of Spain and Yemen. The statement reiterated reminding countries on the necessity of stressing any measures to be taken for combating terror and that should be in compatibility with their commitments to the international law especially international human rights, the humane law and laws of refugees.
