Almotamar.net - The committee overseeing implementation of the agreement ending rebellion in Saada is scheduled to issue Wednesday a statement on violations of ceasefire reached between army forces and al-Houthi rebellion elements.
The committee reported violations committed by rebels after they were granted a final chance that expired by the end of Tuesday evening for full compliance with implementation of the agreement, Al-Siyassah newspaper said.
Local sources in Saada governorate groundless statements and allegations the rebel Abdulmalik al-Houthi had given and claimed that he and his loyals came down from their mountain strongholds that he and his group were obliged by the supervising committee on implementation of the agreement for ending the sedition in the governorate in accordance with the agreement.
The sources said most of the positions al-Houthi rebel mentioned as they have withdrawn from is those they were forced to evacuate by military forces before the beginning of carrying out the agreement. Moreover, the sources added, the rebels so far not handed over even one piece of the medium weapons the agreement forces them to surrender to the state.
In statements reported by 26september.net the sources said al-Houthi and his rebel followers have to hand over their medium weapons and leave their positions where they are still present if they wanted to prove their goodwill and commitment to the agreement. The sources listed a number areas and mountains where the rebels are still taking them as strongholds.
