Almotamar.net - The committee composed of parliament and shoura council members supervising implementation of agreement ending insurgency in the governorate of Saada decided to continue in its work pursuant to demand from the president of the republic.
A source at the committee told almotamar.net that President Ali Abdullah Saleh asked the committee to maintain its task and to try using all possible ways and means to guarantee implementation of the agreement. He pointed out that the presidential demand that kept the committee from return to Sana'a came as part of the president's keenness on carrying out the agreement on putting an end to the sedition and preventing bloodshed.
The committee had earlier decided to end its mission in Saada and return to Sana'a after it issued a statement clarifying its stance towards the obstinacy it faced by Abdulmalik al-Houthi and his follower rebels.
The official spokesman for the committee expressed his fears of indicators that might foil the agreement entirely, affirming at then same time the committee's clinging to the ray of hope that al-Houthi and his followers respond to the committee's demands.
The spokesman sheikh Yassewr al-Awadhi told almotamar.net before the expiry of the last extension of grace period two days ago said the agreement was going through a dangerous turning point that may lead to its failure as the remaining time of the period was just one day and nothing new had happened then.
On the other hand sources close to the committee told almotamar.net that official Qatari instructions prevent the Qatari delegation participating in the committee to give any press statements.
Those sources declined to talk about the Qatari delegation stance, sufficing to point to the delegation's resentment regarding scarcity of positive results so far realized compared to the period of time the committee had spent there.
