Almotamar.net - Director of the Central Prison in Sana'a colonel Mutahar al-Shuaibi said Thursday that 20 of his prison inmates registered at the Faculties of trade and Economics and the Faculty of Arts have on Wednesday finished their university examinations inside the prison after the prison administration has facilitated that for them in partnership with Sana'a University. He added that other inmates from the college of Sharia will be sitting for examinations in the mid of this month.

The prison director told almotamar.net his administration has recently released 13 other prisoners who enrolled at Sana'a University during the period of their imprisonment term and the administration has coordinated with the university to register them according to university association system.

The prison official added the prison administration is keen that the inmates complete their study that they stopped because of entering the prison and it is also keen to eradicate prisoners illiteracy, who have not received any kind of education before.

The director said his administration is keen to overcome all difficulties for the inmates intention to complete their education in realization of the slogan that prison is an establishment for reform and qualification for the post-prison stage.
