Almotamar.net - President Ali Abdullah Saleh affirmed there are elements that have missed the train and try to remind others of themselves by badly taking advantage of issues of the retired. He pointed out that all the defeated forces; whether inside or abroad want to remind of themselves. The president said the political parties exploited demands of the pensioned and "everyday they will create disorder ", confirming if the opposition had reconsidered its performance, criticised itself and overcome the irresponsible fuss it would be acceptable.

The president considered continuation in igniting fires, which does not s0o,ve issues, it would affect he process of development and investment, saying that would make the opposition action a devastating act and not democratic. He added that the leaders of the Joint Meeting Parties want to justify their failure in the presidential and local elections and therefore they try to pass into the role of talking in the name of the people regarding the question of the rise in prices of foodstuffs despite that is an international state rather than the prices of Ali Mujawar (Yemen's prime minister).

Al-Wasat newspaper that conducted an interview with President Ali Abdullah Saleh said it was able to obtain a meeting with the head of the state without much effort whereas it remained demanding Mohammed al-Yadoumi, the former secretary general of the Yemeni Congregation for Reform Party (Islah) and he successor Abdulwahab al-A'nsi for an interview but in vain.

The president described the tribal entities that claim to be standing against corruption as uncivilized entities and are and come stillborn. President Saleh said they are paid from abroad and all the citizens have organised themselves in partisan entities and civil society organisations. Even the tribes have framed themselves inside political partisan and cultural frame as for these tribal entities they are old and unacceptable formations.

The president added there was no tribe that made a president but in the days of the Imamate that was true. But in the republican regime the general Abdullah al-Sallal assumed the leadership of the revolution, then came the November movement of Qadi al-Eryany who had emerged from within the people but not from tribe then Ibarahim al-Hamdi who came from the army by the movement of 13 June and the People's Constituent Council brought me to power and the tribe did not make me. He has maintained that the tribes were opposed to my election and not even the army brought me to power.

On the other hand the president affirmed that education is the means for civilizing the tribe.

On what happened in the southern governorates the president emphasised there is no worry from appearance of congestions because the unity is firm and because those who instigate regional and secessionist questions are numbered and known elements, saying "if we were afraid and worried of them we would have put them in prison and demanded those abroad via the Interpol."

In response to a question on the leaders abroad and the change of the tone about them after the pardon, the president replied "the newspapers are there and general pardon has been done but if they have continued their stepping over the red lines and maintained their stands against the unity and creation of problems for the country we would know how to deal with them, whether inside or abroad." The president affirmed that there is information that those elements held a meeting in Abu Dhabi and Dubai and made contacts with the so-called retired persons and they raise the voice of southern tendencies although they are abroad.

In the interview the president also stressed that his relationship with the various political parties and forces are good, indicating that his relations with the Islamic groups are aimed at the interest of the country and its security and stability. He said his relations with most of Islah members are good and pointed out that in the elections the president gained a high proportion if Islah members voices. Meanwhile, the president affirmed his keenness on the Yemeni Socialist Party saying that the YSP could have been dissolved "but I supported it and said the YSP must exist to make a political balance in the arena because the party was my partner in the unity and was including unionist elements and opportunist others that adopted unity for a certain period and then tuned against it and this party will remain among the political forces and we will support the unionists inside the Socialist Party."

Concerning money of the YSP the president said there is no money owned by the YSP and its funds were seized by Ali Salem al-Biedh and Saleh al-Siely and they escaped abroad with them, in addition to Hayder al-Attasm the head of the snake which sheikh Abdullah called the architect of secessionism "and I support what sheikh Abdullah said but architect of secessionism for the sake of money"

On the al-Houthi dossier the president affirmed it is a reactionary movement to return to the Imamate and has no sectarian relationship, indicating the presence of procrastination by the Houthis in cooperation with the committee entrusted with ending the rebellion. The president said" At the end if he (Al-Houthi) respected himself and abided by decisions of the committee or otherwise there will be no way but the final military decision."

With regard to issues of the press the president said Al-Wasat newspaper that interviewed him makes breaches in the name of democracy, which are false, nevertheless there is resorting to the judiciary, which is a democratic measure. He said "I do not feel angry but what I want that it (the press) deals with the framework of ethics and culture of respecting word not through offense. Other than that I have no problem regarding criticism as it is considered as another opinion," the president got astonished of talking about judiciary being on the side of the state at the expense of the journalist and wondered if it is better to have the journalist imprisoned or sent to court? He asked " What shall we do for you, shall we bring judges from the UN for you so that to trust them as journalists?"
