Almotamar Net - A World Bank (WB) $50 million grant agreement to Yemen for institutional reform was signed in first initials in Washington Tuesday. Sources at the Yemeni embassy in Washington told almotamar.net that the WB changed the nature of funding the programme from an easy loan to a grant, considering that as a result of reform efforts the government of Yemen has carried out and the progress that the WB evaluation saw of the economic environment in Yemen and improved progress of the WB projects in Yemen.

The agreement was signed for the Yemeni side by the deputy premier, the minister of planning and international cooperation Dr Andulkarim al-Arhabi and for the WB by its Head of Reforms Sector.
