almotamar.net - Yemen's minister of agriculture and irrigation Mansour al-Haoushabi called Monday for preparation of a full plan in a week's time to encounter any leakage of the virus of bird flu from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait after the official announcement of recording positive cases of the disease.

The minister insisted on participation of all relevant sides saying that the danger of infection may be very imminent if the pan is not prepared.

The minister confirmed Yemen is clean from the bird flu virus and that Yemen has today not recorded any positive case whether among birds or the human.

While presiding over a meeting Monday of the National Higher Committee for confronting bird flu disease the minister said field teams have bee n sent to the areas where birds were reported to die while no positive case of the disease has been registered.

Minister of agriculture attributed death of a number of birds to causes other than the bird flu virus N5H. In the meeting the minister listened to the reports on measures taken by the ministries of health and agriculture to encounter the disease and preparations and capabilities for encountering it.
