almotamar.net - On the celebrations of the 40th Day of Independence on 30 November the governorate of Hadramout witnesses opening and laying foundation stones for a number of services and development projects estimated at YR 5 billion.

The governor of Hadramout Taha Abdullah Hajir told almotamar.net that the projects to be opened and laid foundation stones include the education sector and electricity sector in opening two projects of countryside electricity and laying a foundation stone for a third power plant.

Governor Hajir revealed about directives issued by the president of the republic for adding 50 Megawatt to the power plant of Hadramout Sahil and Wadi and building houses on basis of installments as well as reclamation of agricultural lands to be distributed to the youth.

The governor added there will be opening seven health projects and laying foundation stones for other 3 health projects. The governor added that Hadramout will witness implementation of a number of development and services projects in the next year.

Hadramout governor said the budget allocated to Hadramout for the next year amounts to YR 32 billion. The budget will be used in development of the infrastructure in addition to another YR5 million from the Social Fund for Development, YR 3.7 million from Public Works Project and YR 1 million from Development Projects. Added to that is the construction of sewage in the cities of Syoun, Tarim and Shibam.
