almotamar-net - SANA'A, - Public Health and Population Minister Abdul-Kareem Rasee met here on Tuesday with the team of the World Health Organization(WHO) for children polio headed by Hatem Abdul-Rahman Oubaid.

In the meeting, they discussed possibility of WHO in helping the health ministry in evaluating cases of polio that caused many children dead in some governorates.

The meeting shed the light on the procedures taken by the health ministry to face the epidemic through organizing eight national campaigns to uproot the disease.

The WHO team was briefed on the situation in Taiz Hodeidah and Sana'a town where 105 infections were found among children, urging concerned bodies to take the suitable procedures for fighting the
disease
