A report issued by the UN ESCWA mentioned that the Yemeni inter-Arab investment amounted to $858.3 million out of the total of foreign investment compared to $203.9 million in the year 2005.

The report added that Yemen depends greatly on influx of the Arab investment due to weakness of influx of direct foreign investment. The report revealed hat Yemen took the first place in the list of inter-Arab investments, followed by Jordan, Sudan, Tunisia, and Egypt.

According to indicator of regional integration Yemen took the 5th place for the years 2003-2006 as the indicator reached 2.3161 but came in the second place in 2005 with an indicator of 5.1627 and Jordan came in the 1st place.

The report affirmed that the drop in volume of integration between Arab companies has led to reduction of the inter-Arab investment as a proportion to the volume of direct foreign investment and it is noted that the inter-Arab investment is focused on services sector such as communications, tourism and construction.
