almotamar.net - Ambassador of Germany to Yemen on Thursday, with participation of the UNHCR Bureau in Yemen and the local authority, presented 5000relief parcels to the centre for receiving refugees in Mayfaa of the governorate of Abyan.

A press release received by almotamar.net mentioned that the German embassy has bought and collected those materials as a donation to the refugee centre the cost of which amounts to $75 thousand

The aim of presenting those materials is to secure the new refugees needs, who reached the southern coasts of Yemen, through offering them some relief stuffs such as food, water, clothes and soap. The press release mentioned that the action is a German commitment for alleviating suffering of the refugees in the world especially in the Horn of Africa region.

The other goal for offering the donation by the German embassy in Sana'a is to share with Yemen the burdens of receiving and taking care of the refugees and a kind of expressing Germany's gratefulness to the Yemeni people for hosting and care for those refugees.
